What Kind of Personal Information Does Gather?

Information You Give Us: We reserve the right to receive and store any information you enter on our website or give us in any other way in order to serve you better. We don’t sell or give away any of your personally identifying information.You don’t have to provide certain information, but you won’t be able to take advantage of many of our features or offerings if you don’t. We use the information you provide us to respond to your requests, customize your experience, improve our interface and communicate with you.

Information We May Learn About You: During the course of communicating with you or providing service to you, we may learn things about you and those in your party, including your name, pickup location, destination, communications with others, habits, preferences, or other information including phone numbers, addresses, or e-mail addresses. We consider ALL such information to be private and strictly confidential and will never divulge such information to any other party without your permission, unless it we believe it is necessary to do so to comply with the law and/or protect the life and/or property of others.

In some cases, we may ask for a testimonial or permission to reveal that you have been a customer, but you are under no obligation to honor our request, but you are under no obligation to do so.

Automatic Information: We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. For example, like many Web sites, we use “cookies”, and we obtain certain types of information when your web browser accesses

Electronic Communications:  We make our basic communications with you through phone, e-mail, and text messaging. To help us make e-mails and text messages more useful and interesting, we might choose to receive a confirmation when you open e-mail or text messages from if your computer supports such capabilities. We also compare our customer list to lists received from other companies, in an effort to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our customers.

Information from Other Sources: We might receive information about you from other sources and add it to our account information.

What About Cookies?

Cookies are system-generated identifiers that are transfered to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser when you visit our site that enable our systems to recognize your browser and provide us with information we can use to improve the visitor experience.

Does Share the Information It Receives?

Information about our customers is an important part of our business and we are not in the business of selling it to others. Third-Party Service Providers: We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links), processing credit card payments, and providing customer service. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.

Promotional Offers: We never send offers to selected groups of customers on behalf of other businesses.

Utah Private Car Corporate Accounts: If you are an employee on your employer’s Utah Private Car Corporate Account then upon your employer’s request your ride information, ride history and ride data may be shared with your employer.  In addition, ride information and your user profile can be viewed by the Administrators on your employer’s Utah Private Car Corporate Account as well as by those Travel Arrangers who book rides on your behalf.  No other employees may view your ride information or profile.

Business Transfers: As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy subsidiaries or other business units. In such transactions, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets but remains subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy Notice (unless, of course, the customer consents otherwise). Also, in the unlikely event that, Inc., or substantially all of its assets are acquired, customer information subject to this privacy policy will of course be one of the transferred assets.

Protection of and Others: We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce or apply our Conditions of Use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. Obviously, however, this does not include selling, renting, sharing, or otherwise disclosing personally identifiable information from customers for commercial purposes in violation of the commitments set forth in this Privacy Notice.

With Your Consent: Other than as set out above, you will receive notice when information about you might go to third-parties, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to share the information.

How Secure Is Information About Me?

We work to protect the security of all information coming from you or being transmitted to you during your visit by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.

We reveal only the last five digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing.

It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.

What About Third-Party Advertisers and Links to Other Websites?

Our site does not generally include third-party advertising or links to other websites, but we reserve the right to do so. In any case, we do not provide any personally identifiable customer information to these advertisers or third-party websites.

These third-party websites and advertisers, or Internet advertising companies working on their behalf, may sometimes use technology to send (or “serve”) the advertisements that appear on our website directly to your browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. If you are under 18, you may use only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

For example, you provide information when you reserve a ride or obtain a quote through; provide information in Your Account (and you might have more than one if you have used more than one e-mail address when making reservations with us) or Your Profile; communicate with us by phone, e-mail, or otherwise; or provide employer information when opening a corporate account. As a result of those actions, you might supply us with such information as your name, address, and phone numbers; credit card information; people for whom rides have been reserved, including addresses and phone number; e-mails to us; personal description in Your Profile; and financial information, including Social Security and driver’s license numbers.

Automatic Information: Examples of the information we collect and analyze include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information such as browser type, version, and time-zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system, and platform; reservation history, which we sometimes aggregate with similar information from other customers to create features; the full Uniform Resource Locator (URL) clickstream to, through, and from our Web site, including date and time; cookie number; products you viewed or searched for; and the phone number you used to call us. We may also use browser data such as cookies, Flash cookies (also known as Flash Local Shared Objects), or similar data on certain parts of our Website for fraud prevention and other purposes.
